Semi-refined paraffin
The role and use of paraffin wax is used in the manufacture of matches, fiberboard, canvas and so on. The main component is a solid alkane, odorless, tasteless, white or yellowish translucent solid. Paraffin wax is amorphous, but has a distinct crystal structure, and there are artificial paraffins. It is a flake or acicular crystal obtained from the distillation of cru de oil by solvent refining, solvent dewaxing or by wax freezing crystallization, pressing dewaxing to obtain wax paste, and then by solvent deoiling and refining.
