Appearance: White crystalline granule or powder; With acetic acid smell. Deliquescent; Highly soluble in water (1g/ml), and create acetic acid with 42.25%. The PH value of aqueous solution with 10% is between 4.5 and 5.0. It will be broken up when heated to 150ºC. Flammable.

Food:
The main purpose of using it in food with its following 3 functions:

Feed:
Sodium diacetate can be used as a preservative in feed for poultry, pigs and pet animals.

It can function as a buffering and masking agents in cosmetic and personal care products.
Medical:
Sodium diacetate plays an important role in regulating the pH level of the dialysis solution. It also benefits clinics in storing, only to dissolve the dry mix, instead of having to store a liquid product.
