Phenolic resin
Phenolic resin (also known as bakelite, bakelite powder) is a colorless or yellowish brown transparent matter, resistant to weak acids and weak bases, decomposition occurs in strong acids, corrosion occurs in strong alkalis, insoluble in water, soluble in aetone, alcohol and other organic solvents. Divided into thermosetting and thermoplastic, phenolic resin is made from the condensation of phenol aldehyde or its derivatives. The phenolic resin sold in the market is often colored with red, yellow, black, green, brown, blue and other colors, with particles and powder.
Application field:
Phenolic molding plastics: It is currently the largest area of consumption of phenolic resin. It mainly includes powder molding plastics, short fiber or chip reinforced phenolic molding plastics, long fiber and long fiber fabric reinforced phenolic plastics. Phenolic molding plastics can be manufactured by injection molding, molding and other molding processes, various mechanical parts, electrical shell, daily necessities, etc.
Phenolic laminated plastic: its filled reinforcement materials are large sheets of paper, cotton, glass cloth, etc. The products usually include laminates, laminated tubes, laminated rods, and copper-coated laminates. These profiles are mostly used in the electrical and electronic industry because of their excellent electrical insulation, good mechanical properties and heat resistance, and easy secondary processing, so they are made of insulated panels, insulated tubes, capacitor tubes, electronic instrument baseboards, etc., and copper clad plates are used for electronic circuit boards.

Carbonized functional materials: The residual carbon rate of phenolic resin in high temperature carbonization is the highest among the main polymers at present. Such as carbon/carbon composite materials, graphite/phenolic carbon composite materials, activated carbon fiber, carbon foam materials, carbon gas separation membrane, new power materials, glass carbon and wood ceramics, etc., can be respectively used in the field of space shuttle, supercapacitors, new power materials and advanced separation membrane production.
